The heart of the old town is still Place Saint Léger, where people can stroll and meet. Each end opens on to streets with suggestive names and which have kept their former look : rue Juiverie, rue Basse du Château, rue du Sénat, rue Croix d'Or... The most beautiful mansions are in rue Croix d'Or : the Hôtel de Châteauneuf in the 17th century manner with its beautiful listed railings, the Hôtel des Marches with its Louis XVI façade and its fine staircase, and the Hôtel de la Pérouse with the Flamming Heart fountain.
